Standard Implant

How is a standard implant constructed?

Implant

An implant is a threaded screw that is screwed into the bone, imitating the root of a future tooth after integration (that is, fusion with the bone). Fusion, is possible due to the special preparation of the implant's surface during the manufacturing process, which consists in imparting the appropriate roughness (porosity) and coating with substances that make the patient's own bone cells readily adhere (grow) to it. The chemical, physical and biological purity of the implant surface is also of great importance. The best implants are certified by the independent inspection body Clean Implant Foundation.

Abutment

A so-called abutment (abutment) is screwed into the root portion of the implant, which is the stem on which the crown or bridge will be placed. The abutment is usually individually designed to perfectly reproduce the natural shape of the emergence of the future crown from the gum.

Porcelain crown

A porcelain crown is placed on an abutment (screwed or cemented). It is the one that rebuilds the final shape of the tooth. It provides optimal aesthetics and the ability to bite effectively.
