MOCK-UP — Sample Smile. Thanks to this technique, the patient can see, check, what his new smile will look like even before treatment begins. Both the shape and alignment of the teeth can be corrected as many times as needed, as all changes are carried out by computer without disturbing the patient's own teeth.
How is it done? To make a MOCK-UP / trial smile, the patient's own teeth (or missing teeth) and gums must be scanned with a digital scanner — which usually happens during a consultation visit. Then, the digital smile designers at the dental technology laboratory design the patient's new smile, according to the patient's wishes and the doctor's instructions. Such designed smile is sent to our clinic in the form of special templates. With these, the doctor attaches the MOCK-UP / trial smile to the patient's current teeth within 15 minutes, using a special temporary compound.
This is followed by a professional photo session, during which the patient can evaluate with the doctor the effect of the new smile. Any changes in the alignment or shape and color of the teeth are possible according to the patient's wishes, at no extra charge. If the new trial smile meets the patient's wishes — at the next visit, it is finally installed.
